Building Society Takes To The Streets
A major regional building society is taking to the streets to let people know that it has millions of pounds to lend to house buyers and home owners looking for a great mortgage deal.
The Cambridge Building Society has created ‘The Mortgage Lounge’ – a mobile living room, which it is taking to events and shopping centres in and around Cambridge during May to mark the launch of the Cambridge Mortgage Sale and to promote the fact that it has money to lend to anyone seeking a mortgage.
“We want to talk to people directly and let them know that we are definitely open for business”, comments Stephen Mitcham at the Cambridge Building Society. “In fact, we have allocated £11 million, which we want to lend to people in the local area for the month of May alone.”
“It doesn’t matter if you’re a first-time buyer eager to take your first steps on the housing ladder, or someone looking for a competitive remortgage, we want to talk to you.”
The Mortgage Lounge comes complete with sofas, tables, lighting and carpets and can be seen at the Grand Arcade and The Grafton in Cambridge, The Guineas Shopping Centre in Newmarket as well as the Sawston Fun Run and the Cambourne Family Fun Day during May.
Mortgage experts from the Cambridge Building Society will be on hand to offer detailed advice and support to anyone looking for a competitive mortgage deal.
“This is the first time that we have taken our business out onto the streets and we are looking forward to meeting as many people as possible”, adds Stephen.
In a bid to help stimulate the local housing market the Society has introduced a range of competitive fixed rate mortgages, and during the Cambridge Mortgage Sale promotional period, is offering free valuations, free legal costs for remortgages and a reduced application fee.
As an added incentive, everyone who books a mortgage appointment with one of The Cambridge’s Personal Advisers during the promotion, or agrees to be contacted about their mortgage when their current deal comes to an end, will be entered into a free prize draw to win a £5,000 home makeover.
